Tickletown Trade
Tickletown Trade was built as a general store in 1865 and functioned as a “Mom & Pop “
style grocery store until the late 1990’s. It has since begun a transformation into a
sustainable living center to support local living economy. Tickletown played host to several
fun-shops including mead making and apple pressing. Many more events and activities are planned,
including film showings, poetry and acoustic music jams. Anyone interested in sustainable living
is invited to attend.
Guests at Tickltown can enjoy the ambiance of “day gone by”. Currently available for
overnight stays are three bedrooms upstairs with double beds, a large bath, living
room and kitchenette. Downstairs includes a large kitchen, bath dining room, living room
and adjoining room with two twin beds. The rooms are furnished and decorated using the beauty
of the old with an eclectic mix of the new.
